Beach block dog friendly home with sleeping for 10! It doesn't get much better than this.... The first floor living room is open and roomy for gatherings for movie watching or game playing. Adjacent to the dining area and kitchen, this is the perfect space for hanging out together. Just off of the dining area is a screened in porch with seating made for relaxing with a good book or a cup of coffee.

The first floor also features a master bedroom and bathroom along with two additional bedrooms and a full hall bathroom. The second floor has another bedroom and a full bathroom.

This home sits right on the corner of Cedar Street and Illinois Avenue - just one block to Lewes Beach. Spend your days on the beach with easy access to the house for lunch or snacks.

Friday to Friday Rental

All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package.

The property must be occupied for the entire rental period by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement (Responsible Guest), and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Responsible Guest. The Responsible Guest must be at least 25 years of age. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental where the Responsible Guest is NOT the legal guardian/parent of any other guests), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and e-Checks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.

    This was our 4th year year at 12 Illinois Ave. We really like the short walk to the beach and the two car garage has a lot of storage for bikes and beach chairs/toys. And the additional fridge/freezer in the garage is very helpful for beverages. The outside shower is nice and was recently upgraded. The outside grill is also new this year There were three couples and each couple has a separate bathroom. The two grandkids will really enjoy the bunk bed room in another year or two. The kitchen is well appointed with everything needed for big family dinners. Our favorite room is still the screen porch where everyone enjoys morning coffee and afternoon cocktails. We just wish it was a little larger. Another nice feature is the large sectional couch for watching tv. Our only complaint is the icemaker did not work, but that was a minor inconvenience. Our Berkshire-Hathaway representative was also quick to respond to any requests.

    This was a great house. Perfect lay out for my family of 7. The location was a very quick walk to the beach. We could leave our chairs and umbrellas on the beach overnight and no one bothers them. The house had a lot of extras left by other guests. Having an easily accessible garage with a handicap ramp was nice. The house was not super clean but I reported that to the agent. I enjoyed the front porch and the screened in porch in the back as well.

    The property was filthy when we arrived--food on the dishes in the cupboard, fingernails in the sink, poop in the toilet, etc. We had to start cleaning it ourselves in order to even begin to get settled. We were thankful the management company sent out a cleaning lady who did a fine job and helped make us feel more comfortable. Unfortunately, after seeing it in the state it was in, it was hard to relax and feel at home there and put a damper on our trip.

It’s great that the cleaning lady was able to help, but it’s understandable that the initial state of the property would make it hard to fully relax. Very sorry that the house was not cleaned prior to your arrival.

    This was our 4th time at 12 Illinois and it was pretty much perfect as usual. Everything was as expected, except the dishwasher was not unloaded. That did not detract from the experience as everything else was perfect as it has been in the past. We will definitely stay here again.
