Take advantage of the opportunity to rent this one of a kind home in Historic Lewes! Originally built in 1790, this home has been lovingly restored and updated with modern amenities. A large open living area with vaulted ceilings manages to still feel cozy when you curl up on one of the red sofas to read a book or watch a movie on the flat-screen TV. Better yet, you can take in a pre-dinner drink on the back porch while deciding on which Lewes restaurant to venture out to for the evening. Only a block from the main dining and shopping in Lewes, two blocks to the Canal Front Park for evening entertainment or a walk on the waterfront and just a short bike ride to the beach or Dairy Queen. If you are looking to experience the charm that is Historic Lewes, this is your spot.

All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO.

The property must be occupied for the entire rental period by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement (Responsible Guest), and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Responsible Guest. The Responsible Guest must be at least 25 years of age. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental where the Responsible Guest is NOT the legal guardian/parent of any other guests), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and eChecks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.

VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as Owner on VRBO. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked you will be contacted by the management company and sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed. Apart from Damage Protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking.

  Amazing historic home but with updated amenities. Loved the covered patio - we had coffee out there every morning. It was odd that you have to pay for linens separately and also no soap/shampoo products ---- but easy enough to buy locally.

  The cost of staying in Lewes for three nights was much too high, in our opinion. We had to pay for cleaning, for a place that had dust and cobwebs. It was like staying in a museum. Some people may like that. It's a historic property, very interesting. Had a weird smell that clung to our belongings and we had to wash everything when we got home. Lewes is a lovely town but I did not care for this property. For the amount of money we spent, we expected something much different. It was also quite dark inside, unless you turned on the overhead lights. We felt discouraged from moving lamps around to read.

  This is a nicely appointed house very close to downtown. We were allowed (for a fee) to have our two dogs with us. It was a good space for the 4 of us. The second bedroom, which we didn’t use) is quite small. But the living space and second floor bedroom are very spacious! The kitchen and two bathrooms are adequate. There’s also a nice screened porch. (We would have used it more. But it was a bit too hot to be out there without the ceiling fan running. But it had only a high speed that was too much! We highly recommend this property.

  The property is in the very heart of Lewes and had been meticulously restored. Staying there does put the burden of cleaning on the renter as before departure you are not only asked to do the dishes but also to vacuum the place. Also, paying an extra $450 for the privilege of bringing two dachshunds with us for three days was a bit of an overkill.

  This property is a gem for old house and history lovers. The owners have a book filled with details of the restoration and home. Lots of period touches. Also, The location is fabulous. Walk to downtown and restaurants. It was great for our needs... a couple with 8 yr old grandchild visiting for few days. One car off street parking was nice too.
  The property is as described and it was very clean. That said, we loved it , but if you are looking for large cooking kitchen, outdoor showers, etc this probably wouldn’t suit your needs.

  This is probably the only time I've ever rented a place that didn't have a review.
  I am glad that I took the chance. This place was amazing. It doesn't look like a rental at all. Everything inside is incredibly nice. Lots of antiques, which suits the home perfectly. The house has air conditioning and everything you need.
  The main bedroom is upstairs and there's a smaller bedroom with a twin bed next to the kitchen. We had a toddler, who did not want that much separation from us, so he ended up sleeping upstairs with us.
  You can easily walk to everything, including the beach. The location does not get any better.
  We loved that this was a historic building - originally a church. It was wonderful and we would definitely rent this one again!
