Adorable and conveniently located studio apartment in the heart of Lewes, perfect for couples and biking aficionados. Located in a quaint dog-friendly neighborhood, this studio is steps away from the bike path through Cape Henlopen and walking distance to cafes, shopping, and breweries. Wake up and have your morning coffee on the patio then venture out to the beach—both the bay and ocean are less than 2 miles away—then take advantage of the large outdoor shower. The guest cottage is light and bright and features a Queen Murphy bed, large closet, and washer & dryer in garage, and is outfitted with thoughtful touches to make you feel at home. Take advantage of live concerts in the nearby park every Tuesday evening in the summer and the Lewes Farmers market which is directly across the street in the off-season.

3 night minimum stays anytime.

All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO.

The property must be occupied for the entire rental period by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement (Responsible Guest), and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Responsible Guest. The Responsible Guest must be at least 25 years of age. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental where the Responsible Guest is NOT the legal guardian/parent of any other guests), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and eChecks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.

VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as Owner on VRBO. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked you will be contacted by the management company and sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed. Apart from Damage Protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking.

  This was our 3rd stay at this property through BHHS PenFed. It is within walking distance of the town of Lewes (3/4 mile) and makes this area very accessible. The place is always clean and ready for our visit. It is filled with the cute beach decor you'd hope for. We bring our dog, who loves the place and area. It has a Murphy bed that you have to open and close each day, and its mattress is a little soft, but manageable. Hopefully, we'll be back again and again! Also, the folks at PenFed could not be nicer or easier to work with.

  We enjoyed our stay. The biggest selling point is being within walking distance to the town of Lewes. The place was clean and well appointed. B.H. people were very nice. The outside furniture was not clean, so could not be used.

  Lovely, fresh, and clean space. It has everything that you need for a great trip including dog bowls!! Easy walk to town. I loved the welcome note and my husband enjoyed the welcome beer from the local brewery! The bound books provided important information about the unit and local area.

  the good: generally speaking the place is nice and in good condition, in a nice neighborhood, and easy walking distance from downtown if you choose to do that. it was equipped everything we needed and our one limited bit of contact with the property owner was pleasant. there was a small issue with the cleanliness of one area of the apartment, the host graciously refunded the cleaning fee - no complaints on that.
  
  the not so good: pet fees were not fully disclosed in the vrbo listing prior to booking, there was a fee for the first pet and a second fee for a second pet which did not make sense nor was it specifically stated prior to paying a deposit. there is a property manager fee that should have been refunded as the property manager gave us the wrong keys to the rental then took over an hour to get the correct ones to us. rental insurance purchased for $70 was required unless you put up $2000 cash, that was not disclosed prior to paying a deposit or expected.
  
  for our 3 night stay the total of the fees (pet 1, pet 2, cleaning, property manager, rental insurance, service fee, and tax on it all) was 50% of the $1600 we paid for 3 nights. that is not a great proposition. the proportional split of fees to actual rental/lodging cost would have been better had they been spread over the cost of a full week stay; although only nominally better since the service fee is % based and would have been higher for a longer stay.

  My friend and I, (along with my pup), stayed in this lovely little studio apartment for 3 nights. It is exactly as advertised. The space was perfect, and definitely roomy enough for us. The owners left a detailed notebook of helpful hints regarding the space, as well as suggestions and recommendations for eateries and activities. We also made use of the patio and backyard garden space. You can't ask for a better location, a quick walk (and even faster drive into town and beach areas). A great girls getaway, we would certainly return! (Side-note: The members of the rental agency were also friendly and accommodating!)
