Ready for a beachfront vacation? Enjoy breathtaking water views from the kitchen and living room on the second floor. This waterfront cottage is one of the last few original beachfront homes on Broadkill Beach updated with everything you need for a relaxing stay.

The backyard oasis offers a huge fire pit, large deck and a new grill. The kitchen offers stainless-steel appliances and is fully stocked with anything you need to cook for your friends and family. With 3 FULL baths and an outdoor shower, you never have to wait for a shower when coming back from a long day at the beach. Don't like the beach? Enjoy (2) 65" large smart TVs, extra comfortable couches, or walk to the Broadkill Store right down the block (1/2 Mile)! The Broadkill area is also great for kayaking, paddle-boarding, bird watching, boating and offers numerous walking trails. The Rookery public golf course is right around the corner and Lewes is only a 20 min drive away. This house has something to offer for everyone in the family. Other local hot spots include Downtown Milton (Dogfish Head Brewery, Irish Eyes, Tequila Real and More). Off street parking for up to 6 cars.

All guests must supply their own sheets, towels and beach towels or OPT in for our linen rental package.

Guests must choose to purchase a $70 Vacation Rental Damage Insurance policy covering $3,000.00 in accidental damage, or pay a refundable security deposit of $2,000.00. Policies of a lesser amount are not acceptable. This amount will not be reflected in the quote amount on VRBO.

The property must be occupied for the entire rental period by the Guest signing the Lodging Agreement (Responsible Guest), and all occupants of the Property shall be supervised by the Responsible Guest. The Responsible Guest must be at least 25 years of age. If the party is made up of unrelated individuals (a group rental where the Responsible Guest is NOT the legal guardian/parent of any other guests), ALL guests occupying the property must be at least 25 years of age.

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover Credit Cards and eChecks for your initial deposit. We also accept personal checks for final payments. Final payments are due 30 days prior to your check-in date. NOTE: Any payments within 30 days of arrival require to be in certified funds or by credit card. You will be provided a link to a Guest Portal where you can securely make your payments online.

VRBO BOOKINGS: This property is hosted by the management company noted as Owner on VRBO. After booking the property you will be charged a booking fee by VRBO. ALL other fees and the rental amount will be charged by the management company and paid to the management company. Once you have booked you will be contacted by the management company and sent a Lodging Agreement that must be signed. Apart from Damage Protection, all fees associated with the booking are displayed in the VRBO booking.

  Had a great stay - Broadkill is a lovely quiet place. This property was not very clean - lots of dog fur, sand, and hair upon arrival. I text the management company that had text me as being available but never heard a response back. I found a vacuum and cleaned the dishes that were left behind. Other than the place not being cleaned, everything else was good.

  The property was in good shape for the most part. The beds were comfortable. The appliances worked well and there were plenty of utensils, pots, pans and dishes for cooking. The only down side was the floors were dirty and I could not locate a mop or bucket so we could only sweep up sand.

  The location & view are 10/10. Downstairs living room and TV is perfect for kids. Working with the rental company was east & always received a quick response.
  
  The cleaning company used did a terrible job prior to our stay. We ended up cleaning every blanket/mattress cover/surface and floor before we were comfortable sleeping and living in the space.
  
  Neither coffee machine worked, which was rough with a house full of coffee drinkers. We even contacted the Help line for the Mr Coffee maker, no help.
  
  We had an issue with the toilet and the rental company sent their maintenance person out to fix it within 30 min of calling. Very satisfied there.
  
  Overall, would consider returning if another cleaning company was used. And hopefully not during jelly fish season!

  For the money I had a better experience and property in OBX. The house was clean but having to pay for linen services were outrageous so we brought our own. It quickly became overwhelming and having to bring all of the paper products TP paper towels was expensive- the pet fee was also to much (close to $500) for 2 dogs - this house also got HOT in 2 bedrooms so much so ppl slept on sofas! And sleeps 6 adults and 2 kids should be what it says. Previous hosts provided bikes- wagons to get items to the beach and chairs. Also - when walking to the beach the path is NOT easily accessible for older adults and small kids-
  Access the beach via the main path 2 houses down. Bring BUG spray if you’re not familiar with the area!! The agent was fine - but I hated the property app - and it seems like the agents aren’t really familiar with the property they are renting. Churn and burn

  We spent an October week in this house - luckily, the weather was gorgeous and we were able to enjoy the beachfront view to the fullest. Very nice outdoor firepit; good kitchen and comfortable main space. All of the bedrooms are a little tight, but there are 3 bathrooms and the house accepts pets, so we were happy. Our only complaint was that we could not figure out the Roku TV system, so we were limited in what we could watch. But that was a minor inconvenience.

  We had a wonderful stay at the beach house bungalow in Broadkill Beach, Delaware. The location was amazing, right on the beach with a stunning view of the bay. We enjoyed watching the boats sail by all day from the comfort of our huge deck. The outdoor space was also fantastic, with an outdoor shower, a fire pit, and plenty of seating. It was perfect for our young family and our dog, who loved running on the sand. The beach was quiet and peaceful, and the water was calm and shallow, ideal for our infant to splash around. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation.

  We enjoyed our time in the Bayfront cottage. Even on the rainy days, the views across the bay were rewarding and interesting. The tanker ships were fun to watch and I liked it when their night time running lights would come on. The cottage is one of the few remaining older Broadkill homes. The lot has not yet succumbed to Barry Construction’s “stepford house” McMansion redo. The cottage retains some of its original charm though it’s been given an update and has cute decor. The kitchen was well supplied and the bedrooms were comfortable. The deck was a great place to watch the bay and see the lights in Cape May. Our dog, in particular enjoyed the beach and learned about the horseshoe crabs. He got to meet lots of other dogs. He swam and ran and really enjoyed the location.

  We have stayed in various places in Dewey Beach for years. This year we decided to take a risk and move up the coast to Broadkill Beach. We are now total converts to that area and will not be returning to the more traditional beach areas in Delaware. We experienced beautiful, uncrowded beaches, met great people also just looking for a quiet beach getaway and also enjoyed the local golf scene.
  
  THe house we rented was beautiful - clean, well supplied kitchen utensils and cookware. The view from the deck was amazing and even in the rain it was a wonderful stay! Our whole family stayed and thoroughly enjoyed this place. Already booked for next summer!

  The house is situated on Broadkill Beach which is a lovely location on the bay if you don't want to be in a crowded beach area. The closeness of the Broadkill store is convenient especially since the realtor called a few days into the trip to let us know we could not drink the water. The house is small and the bedrooms are quite cramped with almost no space to put suitcases for out of town travelers. The beds, especially downstairs and bunk room, were not comfortable. The air conditioning did not extend to the downstairs bedroom or bunk room. The upstairs living room and kitchen were the nicest part of the house and provided comfortable couch space for lounging. The outdoor deck, with table and chairs, worked well for a gathering of friends, but there is no umbrella if it gets too sunny.
  Overall, it is a cute, dog-friendly house with nice outdoor features and close proximity to the bay beach. The backyard area and fire pit are key features. It is about a 20-25 drive to Lewes and Cape Henlopen State Park.
  The roof leaked during a storm and the owner apologetically showed up to get an estimate from the roofer. Unfortunately, roofers showed up several times during our stay to start fixing the roof, which we found inappropriate and disruptive.
  The rental cost was way overpriced for what the house offered and I would not choose to stay here again. I would not recommend this house for a group or family larger than 4.
  The realtors were helpful and responsive with good communication; I would use this realty company again.

  the location was perfect! we liked the quiet beaches. the house was adorable, but . . .
  -there were some beer cans and cigarette butts out in the yard area.
  -the baths and bedrooms were not very clean
  -the baths and bedrooms were very small, but that was okay.
  -the ceiling leaked during a rainstorm, disrupting our "relaxation" time. We did not come here to worry about a leaking roof.
  -there wasnt any kind of umbrella on the deck and the sun was scorching hot, so we did not really get to enjoy the deck looking over the beach during the day
  -there were not any comfortable lounge chairs and the chairs that were there had old dirty cusions on them.
  -the first floor was inundated inundated with the strong smell of mold
